Whether you need a steady income stream or just need to earn a little extra cash to get you through a “ruff” spot.

I agree with your point raised about either being an entrepreneur or working for one. That is what has motivated me for years to achieve something so that I am comfortable on my own and not have to work for someone. Hopefully in a few years I will have achieved this goal.

My favorite is: “When it comes to real estate investing, you make money when you buy—not when you sell.” It is so true and it is valid for all deals:-)

Ideally, stagger your checks at each of the three bureaus so you get a snapshot throughout the year. I call it the Waterfall Method and I check my Experian credit report in January, my Equifax sometime in May, and my TransUnion report around October.

That is a good one and I followed that dip while I was in debt. I saved, invested, and paid off debt.

I especially like Joseph’s tip to invest while you are working your way out of debt. I think at the very least while working your way out of consumer debt you should invest enough into your 401k to get the company match. By starting as soon as possible you can take advantage of compounding interest. In the end it makes a big difference!
Great post Grayson!
